The Paraeducator I, Focus position is a part-time opportunity to support student learning and well-being in a dynamic educational environment.
Job Description:As a Paraeducator I, Focus, you will work under the direction of the principal to perform various tasks that promote student learning and well-being. This includes facilitating student mastery of grade-level or above curriculum, providing instructional and classroom management supports, and assisting with planning and continuing instructional activities during teacher temporary absences.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Knowledge of child development and instructional strategies
- Understanding of MCPS instructional goals and policies
- Patient and able to work with children, young adults, and staff
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to read/write/speak English
- Proficiency with standard computer hardware and software such as Google Workspace and MS Office
