About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to join our team as the Head of Year Level.

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading and managing the implementation of school priorities, and the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills across the curriculum. They will also be expected to support teachers to evaluate the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the planning and implementation of high-impact teaching strategies that respond to student learning needs
  • Monitor and assess student learning at a class, cohort or whole-school level and use data to inform teaching practice and lead improvement initiatives
  • Model behaviours and attitudes consistent with department values and support colleagues to adopt these behaviours and attitudes
  • Contribute to the provision of whole-school professional learning and development opportunities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum
  • Ability to lead and manage the implementation of school priorities and the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills across the curriculum
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Able to model behaviours and attitudes consistent with department values
  • Demonstrated ability to support others in using data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback on student learning growth and achievement to students and parents
