Teaching Position Summary

The primary focus of the classroom teacher is on planning, preparation and teaching programs to achieve specific student outcomes.

This role involves direct teaching of groups of students and individual students, contributing to curriculum development and evaluation, and undertaking other classroom-related duties as determined by the school's senior leadership team.

Range 2 classroom teachers play a significant role in assisting the school to improve student performance and educational outcomes, while Range 1 classroom teachers are responsible for teaching their own classes and participating in policy development and project teams.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Experience in responding to student learning needs.
  • Planning and implementing high-impact teaching strategies guided by how students learn.
  • Maintaining collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community.

Main Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students. This includes developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress and providing feedback, and maintaining accurate records.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

a Bachelor of Education or equivalent qualification;

demonstrated expertise in teaching and learning; and

strong communication and interpersonal skills.
