The Role

This position will support Data Governance initiatives across UniSuper, including project management, data catalogue development, and literacy programs. You will work closely with stakeholders from various business areas, adapting your approach to suit their needs. Your primary focus will be on ensuring compliance with data governance policies, procedures, and standards, operationalising the Data Governance Framework within the organisation.

  • Ensure data governance policies, procedures, and standards are followed to support the Data Governance Framework and are operationalised across the organisation.
  • Support Data Owners and Data Stewards in their Data Governance journey while providing necessary assistance to help adoption of Data Catalogue and associated processes.
  • Implement Data Governance processes, frameworks, policies, and standards across the business.
  • Contribute to internal and external audits as needed.
  • Collaborate with the business to design and iterate processes, streamlining them to reduce effort, uplift compliance, and deliver business value.

About You

  • 1-2 years of experience in a data-related role (Data Management experience highly valued)
  • A willingness to learn tools and processes
  • Experience working within Agile methodology for Project and BAU
  • Self-management skills to deliver small initiatives end-to-end
  • Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, relationship development, conflict resolution skills
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to details
  • Experience with Alation or other data cataloguing solutions (desired)
  • Proficiency in using MS Office package tools to develop data governance-related artefacts
  • Knowledge of the regulatory framework under which superannuation funds operate (desired)
  • Superannuation or Financial Services experience preferred

Salary Estimate: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum
