Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic program coordinator to support in the delivery of our national mentoring program, SongMakers. Reporting into the National Program Manager, this coordinator will support in the delivery of the national SongMakers Program on behalf of APRA AMCOS.

The program promotes the value of songwriting for young creatives by modelling songwriting and production and providing scaffolding into the music industry.

This role can be performed from any of our offices in Australia.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the core national program of mentored, in-school, programs including booking travel and liaising with teachers
  • Coordinate the delivery of school holiday versions of the core program as required under existing partnership arrangements
  • Help build and service networks of music teachers nationally that support the provision of songwriting and music production activities
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and contracting of industry mentors (songwriters, producers, artists)
  • Create program promotional content and coordinate marketing and communications for the program
  • Support the Program Manager to expand and develop the core program
  • Coordinate a comprehensive evaluation process for SongMakers
Skills & Experience:
  • Demonstrated success in event management from funding to delivery and acquittal
  • A strong history of delivering live music programs across a broad range of artists and events
  • A strong understanding of travel booking
  • Experience in partnering with vendors
  • Experience in partnering with Local Government
  • Experience in partnering in regional areas
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
