Key Responsibilities

The Operations Manager will be responsible for:

  • Leading the Operational team to deliver cost-effective meat processing operations
  • Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and workplace health and safety standards
  • Implementing innovative and continual improvements for products, equipment, and processes
  • Coordinating and allocating resources to deliver production requirements efficiently and effectively
  • Conducting regular reporting on daily operations, risks, and opportunities

The Operations Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organisational objectives and customer expectations.



Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 10 years+ experience in an operational management position
  • Strong leadership experience within FMCG or manufacturing essential
  • Experience in the meat industry highly regarded
  • Great interpersonal skills to lead, coach, and mentor your team
  • Enthusiastic and forward-thinking approach to leadership and management
  • Solution-focused, fostering new ideas and initiatives
  • A collaborative and inclusive approach to communication with all stakeholders
  • Experienced in delivering to budget and schedules
  • An ability to drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement with good critical analysis skills
  • Understanding of Food Quality and Safety Standards
  • Attention to detail, initiative, and time management skills
  • Advanced MS Excel
