**About the role**

The Meat Process worker will join a small team at our brand new dog food processing facility.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Operate meat processing machinery, including but not limited to bandsaws, slicers, dryers and cleaning equipment.
- Assist in moving carcasses from the freezer to the cool room.
- Set up machines and make adjustments for various products.
- Trim and slice meat to size, load on trolleys and put into dryers.
- Unload dehydrated products from the dryers and put in to tubs for packing.
- Inspect all finished products and report quality issues to the Supervisor.
- Wash and sanitise processing equipment and work area.
- Work with the supervisor to continuously improve site procedures.
- Must love dogs
- Have experience in a fast paced food production or manufacturing environment, preferably in a meat production role.
- Proficient machine operation skills (slicers, bandsaws, dryers and wash stations) or the willingness to learn.
- Practical knowledge of food safety, hygiene, sanitisation and quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Initiative, attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to handle raw meat products.
- Ability to work in a cold environment.
- A Certificate II or above in Meat Processing or relevant qualification is highly regarded.
