About the RoleThis position involves teaching Religious Education from Years 7 to 12. Experience in teaching senior years is desirable.
The Religious Education faculty is a collaborative, professional, and dynamic team who is committed to delivering high-quality educational outcomes.
In addition to teaching the course, the successful candidate will be responsible for staying up-to-date with changes in the curriculum and developing new educational resources. A commitment to ongoing professional development is essential, as is expertise in the use of technology in the classroom.
Responsibilities- Teach Religious Education from Years 7 to 12
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessment
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless transitions between year levels
- Participate in professional development to enhance teaching practice
- Be a practicing Catholic
- Provide a reference from a current Parish Priest
- Have completed or be due to complete Accreditation D in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Policy
- Bachelor of Teaching or Master in Teaching qualification
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
- Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
- Extensive training in our high-quality professional learning program
