Job Title: Evening Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to take on the role of Evening Operations Manager.

As an Evening Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading the nursing team, patient flow, and hospital operations during evening hours. Your primary objective will be to ensure safe, high-quality care is delivered to patients while maintaining efficient hospital operations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and support nursing staff in delivering quality patient care.
  • Coordinate patient admissions, liaise with medical officers, emergency departments, and paramedics to ensure smooth patient flow.
  • Oversee the safety of all patients and hospital staff, taking lead in emergency situations.
  • Collaborate with Nurse Unit Managers and Team Leaders to ensure adequate staffing and cost efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with 8+ years' experience and current AHPRA registration.
  • Recent After Hours Coordinator or Nurse Unit Manager experience is preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Leadership skills, including mentorship and coaching of team members.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating staff allocation and managing Health Safety and Wellbeing processes.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • High degree of computer literacy, including MS Office.
  • Post-graduate qualification in Leadership and Management (or willingness to complete).
  • ALS training and certificate (or willingness to complete).
  • Experience with Dimensions (staff time keeping system) and RiskMan (Incident management system).
