Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Assistant to provide support in our dynamic pharmacy department.

  • The ideal candidate will assist in dispensing medication, manufacturing extemporaneous products and pre-packing under pharmacist supervision.
  • Daily impression supply to wards and departments, as well as maintaining stock control, is also an essential responsibility.
  • Maintaining a high level of efficiency in the dispensary involves tasks such as unpacking orders, rotating stock and preparing workspaces.
  • Ensuring safety and compliance is achieved by monitoring fridge temperatures, managing expiry dates and supporting stocktake activities.

To succeed in this role, you should have hands-on experience as a Pharmacy Assistant/Technician in a hospital or community setting. Proficiency in using pharmacy computer systems is also required.

In addition, you should demonstrate competence in legislative requirements relating to pharmaceuticals.
