Job Title: Pharmacy Service Director

As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for leading the daily management of designated pharmacy services. This involves overseeing the implementation of strategic priorities and ensuring high-quality, cost-effective pharmaceutical services are delivered to patients. You will play a central role in fostering a supportive and high-performing team environment by coordinating staff orientation, training, education, and supervision.

About the Role: In this leadership position, you will provide comprehensive professional pharmacy services, optimising patient outcomes and maintaining the highest standards of practice in accordance with local, state, and national policies and legislation. Your expertise will help drive continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence across the pharmacy service and broader health network. You will also contribute to the ongoing development of pharmacy services through policy development, teaching, training, and active participation in committees and workgroups.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
  • • Supervising and educating multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care • Developing and implementing effective strategies to improve pharmacy services • Collaborating with stakeholders to achieve organisational goals and objectives • Maintaining accurate records and reporting on performance metrics • Providing expert advice on pharmacy-related matters


About You: To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a proven capacity for problem-solving, innovation, research, and data analysis. You will have extensive hospital pharmacy experience, competence in drug dispensing and patient counselling, and comprehensive knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and pharmacy best practice. A Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and current registration or eligibility for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia are essential requirements for this position.
