About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Avionics Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our Lead in Fighter (Hawk) team within the Aerospace organisation based in Williamtown, NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and undertaking fault diagnosis of avionic systems and components.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure maintenance performance meets all regulatory and airworthiness requirements
  2. Carry out scheduled servicing and other unscheduled maintenance as delegated by the Team Leader
  3. Record details of work performed on the correct documents and gain certification of the performance of such work in the required timeframes
  4. Report defects, deficiencies, maintenance errors, and unserviceabilities to the Team Leader
  5. Initiate quality, non-conformance, or defect reporting relating to maintenance tasks as directed
About You
  1. Certificate IV in Aeroskills – Avionics or equivalent is mandatory
  2. Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a Federal Government Security Clearance is mandatory
  3. Experience or strong interest in working with Defence Aircraft is mandatory
  4. Military or Civil Aviation Maintenance Licence is highly desirable
  5. Understanding of Australian Defence Force aircraft maintenance regulations, process, and procedures is highly desirable
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
  7. Ability to work within a fast-paced and strong team environment is required
Eligibility and Security Clearances

As a Defence security clearance is required for the position, candidates must be Australian Citizens to apply and either currently possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable, and candidate nationality may be a factor in determining suitability for this role.
