About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics to join our team at Boeing Defence Australia (BDA). As a key member of our Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) Services team, you will be responsible for maintaining and modifying aircraft systems, performing depot servicing requirements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain individual qualifications and certifications associated with Cert IV Aeroskills - Avionics
  • Adhere to approved maintenance processes and procedures
  • Ensure all maintenance has been completed and that corrective maintenance actions satisfy task requirements
  • Carry out aircraft and/or component maintenance duties, including task completion, certification, and finalisation
  • Use equipment only in accordance with authorised instructions consistent with its safe and proper use
Requirements
  • Hold a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics)
  • Hold or be able to obtain a Defence Security Clearance of Negative Vetting 1 (NV1)
  • Hold a C class driver's licence
  • Suitability to obtain DASR Part 66 Military Aircraft Maintenance Licence (MAML)
  • Be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and the DASR 145 aircraft maintenance regulatory framework
  • Be able to demonstrate a contemporary working knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) practices
