Strategic HR Partner

We are seeking a seasoned HR professional to join our team as a Strategic HR Partner. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in promoting a positive and productive work culture.
Key Responsibilities- Employee Relations: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and provide strategic HR support, manage employee relations matters, and navigate complex industrial relations landscapes.
- Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management strategies to elevate individual and team effectiveness, provide expert guidance on HR policies, procedures, and practices, and conduct thorough investigations into ER/IR issues.
- Industrial Relations: Foster effective relationships with unions, ensure compliance with relevant legislation, and provide strategic support to management on industrial relations matters.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field. HR certification is a plus.
- Proven experience of 5+ years in HR, with a focus on both Employee Relations (ER) and Industrial Relations (IR).
- Solid understanding of performance management principles and their practical application.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels.
- Proven experience in grievance management and mediations.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy.
- Prior experience in a local government context or public sector will be highly regarded.
