Job Summary
The Senior Investigation and Compliance Officer is responsible for guiding and supervising rangers in their investigation work.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and manage complaints to ensure regulatory services are delivered effectively.
- Enforce Council By-Laws and other relevant legislation within the municipality.
- Provide technical guidance on investigations and complaints management to Rangers.
- Manage complex investigations, reviews of contested infringement notices, and provide recommendations to senior management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in a regulatory or law enforcement background with negotiation and mediation skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply legislation and regulations effectively.
- Complex investigation and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with high customer service standards.
- Sound administrative skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Preparing prosecution briefs for court proceedings.
- Hold a Senior First Aid Certificate and OCHRE card or obtain upon commencement.
- Possess a Diploma in Government Investigations or similar qualification.
