Job Title: Investigative Compliance Officer

The role of Investigative Compliance Officer is pivotal in upholding regulatory compliance within the municipality. This position entails providing expert guidance, supervision, mentoring and support to Rangers in their job requirements related to investigation work.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Investigation management
  • Complaints management
  • Community engagement activities
  • Stakeholder relations
  • Supervision of Rangers in compliance enforcement
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this position, you will need:

  • Proven experience working in a regulatory or law enforcement background
  • Negotiation and mediation skills with people and external stakeholders in high conflict situations
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation and regulations
  • Complex investigation skills and recommendation-making abilities for senior management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and high-level customer service skills
  • Sound administrative skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Prosecution brief preparation for court

Additional requirements include holding a Senior First Aid Certificate, OCHRE card, Diploma in Government Investigations, and a Class C Drivers Licence.
