Early Childhood Regulatory Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of early childhood education and care services in Queensland.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced licensing environment with great administrative decision-making skills.
As a key member of the Licensing Team, the Regulatory Officer will apply relevant legislation, standards, policies, and guidelines fairly and consistently when undertaking regulatory functions.
Key Responsibilities Include:- Assessing incoming regulatory information, including notifications and complaints from service providers and the general public, in accordance with ECEC legislation.
- Identifying risks and issues, accurately interpreting legislation, exercising powers, gathering evidence, and making recommendations to support delegated decision-makers.
- Maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy of official records, information, correspondence, and data in accordance with legislation and departmental protocols.
- Capturing accurate and timely data using regulatory systems and identifying issues to improve data quality and process efficiency.
- Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 clearance (blue card).
