Ecological Consultant

This role is ideal for an experienced ecologist who can lead complex projects and provide ecological advice to support business growth.

The Senior Ecologist will be responsible for conducting field surveys, preparing proposals, and reviewing reports. You will work closely with project teams to identify environmental constraints and opportunities, and contribute to high-level reporting.

To succeed in this role, you will require a strong understanding of ecological principles and experience in managing complex projects. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to write clear, concise reports.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline, and at least 8 years of professional experience in ecological consulting. Accreditation as an assessor under the NSW Biodiversity Accredited Assessor System is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct ecological field surveys and statutory assessments
  • Prepare proposals and review reports
  • Provide ecological advice and support project teams
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in ecological consulting
  • Proven ability to write clear and accurate reports
  • Expertise in flora and fauna identification
