About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Ecologist to join our dynamic team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing ecological advice and contributing to high-level reporting. They will also assist in problem-solving, preparing proposals, reviewing reports, and conducting field investigations across various terrestrial ecosystems.

This role involves mentoring staff and working with inter-disciplinary project teams. Exceptional communication skills are required to develop contacts and networks to support business development.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in a related discipline, such as environmental science or natural resource management, with high academic achievement.
  • A minimum of eight to ten years of experience in ecological consulting, including leading complex projects and demonstrating capability in managing teams.
  • Proven ability to write clear, concise, and scientifically accurate reports.
  • Advanced GIS skills, including data interrogation and ecological attribute mapping.
  • Expertise in flora and fauna identification, vegetation mapping, and complex ecological assessments.
  • Demonstrated high level of self-motivation, initiative, and ability to manage complex tasks independently.
