Visual Effects Production Assistant Job Description

As a highly organized and detail-oriented Visual Effects Production Assistant, you will play a vital role in the success of our projects. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Assisting Producers, Production Managers, and Coordinators with day-to-day activities, such as general production errands and tasks on assigned projects.

• Acting as an assistant to the Production Coordinator and Producer, helping to follow up on items after dailies and internal meetings.

• Taking notes during meetings, dailies, and on the VFX floor, and distributing them to artists.

• Setting up dailies sessions, notifying crew members of dailies times and locations, and updating production scheduling software.

• Maintaining project management software like Shotgrid (Flow Production Tracking) when relevant.

• Working closely with IOs managing outsource brief requests and maintaining contact with vendors regarding feedback, working within the milestones/timelines of the project.

• Performing other duties as defined by Production, such as general personal tasks (client services, staff lunches, etc).
