Are you looking at starting your journey into the world of colour as an IO/VFX Assistant?

As an IO/VFX Assistant you'll be an integral part of the team, seeing projects from the initial stage of ingesting rushes, through to creating final deliverables, and everything else in between. You will play an important part in the daily workings of the company, including supporting our additional studios all around the world.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, a good communicator and detail orientated. Ideally, we would want you to be continually forward thinking and understand how you contribute towards the bigger picture.

Experience in post-production is essential, with knowledge of VFX workflows highly valued.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ingesting footage and wrangling data throughout the course of a project
- Conforming timelines to export individual shots and update edits as artists complete their work
- Communicating with third-party vendors for tracking, roto and cleanup services
- Working with the team to supply plates, elements and references. Conforming timelines and consolidating media for colourists
- Supporting colourists throughout the grade by managing media and updating their project as needed
- Quality-checking final masters
- Creating deliverables for a variety of destinations (i.e. online, television, billboard etc.)

**Requirements**:

- An understanding of editorial and VFX workflows; from the offline edit, through VFX departments, to the final grade and online
- Knowledge of various areas within production and post-production, including cameras, lenses, colour spaces, file types, roto, tracking, etc.
- Solid understanding of file codecs and formats, and the differences between each
- Strong experience with the Adobe Suite and Resolve
- Familiarity with Nuke Studio is a valued bonus
- Experience with Python scripting is a valued bonus
- Worked with studio production software like Shotgun is a valued bonus

This is a full-time role based out of our Brisbane Head office, starting immediately.
