About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Email Deliverability Consultant to join our team at Klaviyo Inc. As a key member of our deliverability team, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers' emails reach their intended recipients. Your expertise will help us maintain a strong reputation and drive business growth through effective email deliverability strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the Klaviyo platform, sending infrastructure, and technical configurations.
  • Provide high-quality consultative support to customers, partnering with them to effectively understand and address their deliverability issues.
  • Communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Investigate and address email delivery problems by collaborating with Internet Service Provider (ISP) abuse desks, email blocklist, and anti-spam technology providers.
  • Provision new customers with a new IP address and DNS records.
  • Ensure Klaviyo and its clients stay up-to-date with the latest industry best practices to improve sending reputation.
  • Establish and maintain documentation, such as sending best practices and playbooks, to support repeatability as we expand.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive positive deliverability outcomes.
  • Contribute to thought leadership through writing blogs, articles, and whitepapers.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a consultative, data-driven email deliverability role.
  • Experience working with customers, preferably at an ESP serving multiple medium to large senders.
  • Proven track record of investigating and resolving technical problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work with, influence, and align with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Understanding of email industry legal compliance and privacy issues in APAC.
  • Experience modeling complex problems, both conceptually and tactically (spreadsheets, analysis tools, visualization).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, G-Suite, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, Zendesk, and Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of DNS, IPs, and other networking concepts.
  • Experience with email authentication setup (Sender Policy Framework (SPF), DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM), and Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance (DMARC)).
  • APIs.
  • Email marketing platforms and E-Commerce platforms.
  • Testing and analysis tools, like Litmus, Return Path, EDS, Google Postmaster Tools, and SNDS.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia (specifically Sydney) without restriction.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SMS/MMS technologies.
  • Technical Writing/Blogging and Training Experience.
  • Experience working with software/web development.
