Urban Planning Leader

We're seeking an accomplished Urban Planning leader to drive our Development and Design team forward. This pivotal role presents the opportunity to shape the urban future of a thriving community.

About the Role
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Oversee the development assessment and design review processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and community value.
  • Represent the organization in key forums, including Council and Design Review Panels, as well as community consultations and appeals.
  • Champion urban sustainability, heritage, and great design outcomes.
  • Build strong partnerships with developers, government agencies, residents, and community groups to deliver a shared vision.

We require a strategic thinker who combines technical expertise with excellent communication skills. You will bring:

  • A degree in Urban Planning or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in planning, development assessment, and applying planning legislation.
  • Proven success in leading teams and building a culture of high performance.
  • Strong ability to translate complex planning issues into clear, community-friendly advice.
  • A commitment to innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
  • A current National Police Clearance.
