Job Title: Liability Risk Adviser

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Liability Risk Adviser to join our team at Marsh Pty Ltd. As a key member of our liability team, you will provide expert advice and guidance to our clients on risk management and compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Scheme Manager in delivering LGAMLS KPIs and other key objectives
  • Assist with the production and delivery of quarterly LGA SA Mutual Board reports and other Board-related documentation
  • Monitor the Local Government Legal and Regulatory Compliance environment
  • Support the LGA in managing specific risk and/or LGAMLS funded projects
  • Contribute to the development of programs and projects to minimize and manage liability claims
  • Target information and training needs of Members and provide assistance via LGAMLS Forums and workshops
  • Participate in Council/Member risk profiling performance
  • Assist and support the sector, Councils, and Members to develop and implement risk profile and mitigation strategies

Requirements:

  • Experience working with Local/State government across Risk, Governance, and strategy would be an advantage
  • Experience working within a big 4 consulting firm would be an advantage
  • Degree in Law/Risk & Governance or equivalent would be an advantage
  • Excellent relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders and clients
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as a part of a team
  • Ability to travel to metropolitan and regional locations as required
  • Valid driver license
