About the Position:

We seek an experienced and skilled professional to develop and implement strategies for major donor and gifts in will programs. As a key member of our team, you will build and cultivate successful individual donor relationships.

This involves identifying, researching, qualifying, and nurturing prospective major donors and gift-in-will supporters to inspire financial support and grow donations. You will steward and develop the ongoing donor journey for these two programs.

You will bring sound communications and relationship management skills to this role and have a strong knowledge of philanthropy, fundraising, and bequest giving.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow major donor and gifts in will programs
  • Build and cultivate successful individual donor relationships
  • Identify, research, qualify, and nurture prospective major donors and gift-in-will supporters
  • Steward and develop the ongoing donor journey for both programs
  • Bring sound communications and relationship management skills to the role

**Requirements:**

  • Demonstrated experience in a bequest or major gifts program
  • Strong understanding of stewardship principles as they relate to bequests and major gifts
  • Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with high maturity and empathy
  • Confident attitude with superior communication, presentation, and influencing skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Experience utilizing CRM database software

**Desirable Qualifications:**

  • 5 years plus experience as a philanthropic lead in major gifts and gifts in will
  • Christian attitude to faith and values
  • Experience working with or understanding of CRM database software
  • Tertiary degree in sales, marketing, or fundraising
  • Membership of the Fundraising Institute of Australia
