Job Role Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the maintenance and upkeep of a comprehensive obligations library to ensure its relevance and effectiveness.
  • Develop and execute breach assessment processes for all incidents, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Design and implement conflicts of interest plans for senior leaders, highlighting relevant interests and duties while minimizing potential conflicts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, fostering collaboration within the compliance function.
  • Prepare and present detailed compliance updates to senior management and relevant committees, ensuring timely and accurate information exchange.
  • Promote the overall effectiveness of the compliance function by driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business-related disciplines.
  • Extensive experience in compliance or legal functions within the financial services industry, preferably in superannuation, with 3-5 years in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of governance, risk, and compliance practices in superannuation and global fund management.

  • Deep knowledge of compliance and risk frameworks, enabling effective regulatory assessments and change project implementation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey compliance requirements and foster strong relationships across the organization.
