The School of Physics and Astronomy at Monash University seeks a highly motivated Research Fellow to join its team.
About the RoleWe are looking for a researcher with a PhD in Physics, Materials Engineering, or a closely related field to study ultrafast light-matter interactions in graphene metamaterials.
Key Responsibilities- Design and simulate graphene metamaterials for strong light-matter interactions in the mid-infrared.
- Fabricate structures at a state-of-the-art nanofabrication facility.
- Measure optical and electrical properties using ultrafast laser spectroscopy.
We seek a candidate with research experience in ultrafast science and expertise in at least one of the following areas:
- Metamaterials design and/or fabrication.
- Graphene and/or other 2D materials fabrication and measurement.
- Electronic and/or optoelectronic device measurements.
