The Manager, Western Melbourne English Program is a pivotal role in the successful delivery of contemporary vocational education and training. This position is responsible for leading and managing staff, planning programs, and financial accountability of the WMEP Portfolio within the Centre of VU Transitions.
This role facilitates continuous development and growth to domestic students through the programs offered. The Manager will be responsible for ensuring the quality delivery of our WMEP Program, making a positive impact on the lives of our students, and contributing to business development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of teachers and professionals to ensure the quality delivery of our WMEP Program
- Make a positive impact on the lives of our students
- Contribute to business development activities and excel in a commercial environment
- Develop and implement initiatives that inform development and implementation in Vocational Education and Training (VET), Higher Education, and Industry
About You:

You will have:
- Experience in tertiary teaching environments focused on contemporary learner-centred and flexible education, including online platforms
- Completed a teacher training course at the Australian Qualifications Framework Level 5, inclusive of supervised teaching practice and studies in EAL/TESOL teaching methodology, or an equivalent qualification
- A mastery of pedagogy, innovative instructional design, and delivery methods, and online teaching tools
- Exceptional people management skills and experience
- A high standard of interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to develop effective stakeholder relationships and influence outcomes
