Land Management Technician

As a Land Management Technician, you will be responsible for undertaking vegetation management and rehabilitation activities for private industry and government authorities as a member of a professional team.


This role involves bush regeneration, habitat restoration, native tree planting, brush cutting, weed control, chemical spraying, and vegetation clearing for bushfire management, among other tasks.


Required Skills and Qualifications

At least 2 years' experience in bush regeneration including herbicide application (high volume and backpack), brush cutting, and manual control techniques is required.


General knowledge of vegetation communities with the ability to identify local native plant and weed species is also necessary.


A related qualification relevant to bushland management such as Certificate in Conservation & Land Management is desirable.


Practical knowledge of work health and safety policies and risk management principles is essential.


Ability to operate vehicles and field equipment is also required.


Physical fitness, strong work ethic, self-motivation, and ability to function in a team environment are important.
