Job Overview

Aircraft maintenance professionals with a focus on structures play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and safety of aircraft components. Their work involves repairing, maintaining, and producing sheet metal, bonded, and composite components in accordance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a range of tasks including bore and surface corrosion removal, sleeve/bush installation, bonded nutplates, and panel installation.
  • Conduct Low Observable repairs and restorations on fighter jets, as well as traditional structures work such as minor component replacement, bracket manufacture, and unit-level modifications.
  • Produce, maintain, and repair sheet metal, bonded, and composite components in line with regulatory standards.
  • Accurately document all work performed, ensuring certification requirements and timeframes are met.
  • Report and escalate defects, deficiencies, or non-conformances, and provide engineering advice as directed.
  • Conduct maintenance activities within delegated authority while upholding quality and safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Hold an Aircraft Maintenance Trade i.e. Cert IV Aeroskills – Structures (Mandatory).
  • Australian Citizen with ability to obtain Defence NV1 Clearance (Mandatory).
  • Experience or strong interest in working with Defence Military Aircraft.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver work within fast-paced team environment.
