Land Management Technician / Bush Regenerator

Responsibilities
  • Undertake vegetation management and rehabilitation activities for private industry and government authorities as a member of a professional team.
  • Bush regeneration, habitat restoration, native tree planting, brush cutting, weed control, chemical spraying, and vegetation clearing for bushfire management, among other tasks.
About you / Qualifications
  • At least 2 years' bush regeneration experience including herbicide application (high volume and backpack), brush cutting, and manual control techniques.
  • General knowledge of vegetation communities with ability to identify local native plant and weed species.
  • Completed or enrolled in Certificate in Conservation & Land Management or related qualification relevant to bushland management.
  • Practical knowledge of work health and safety policies and risk management principles.
  • Ability to operate vehicles and field equipment.
  • Physical fitness, strong work ethic, self-motivation and ability to function in a team environment.
  • Current NSW driver's license.
  • White Card (construction induction).
  • Available for a minimum of 3 days per week (Mon – Fri) and able to travel away from home for up to 5 days at a time.
  • Strong attention to detail and alignment with company policies, codes and values.
  • Desirable: First Aid, Chainsaw qualifications, strong weed knowledge and control methods.
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical (including drug screen). Employment is contingent on medical/physical fitness.
