Protective services professionals are highly sought after for their ability to provide a high level of security and safety in state government buildings and precincts.

Job Description:

The Building Services Coordinator is responsible for delivering consistent, high-quality security services to clients, contractors, and building occupants. This involves exercising functions and powers pursuant to the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000, as well as carrying out procedures and instructions outlined in Protective Services Quality Procedures and site Building Manuals.

The role requires the coordinator to review, develop, and maintain procedures for general building security and the safety of persons within the building. This includes coordinating training and providing direction in emergency procedures and building safety programs, such as the Occupant Emergency Program.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and building occupants to deliver consistent, high-quality security services.
  • Exercise functions and powers pursuant to the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000, and carry out procedures and instructions outlined in Protective Services Quality Procedures and site Building Manuals.
  • Review, develop, and maintain procedures for general building security and the safety of persons within the building.
  • Coordinate training and provide direction in emergency procedures and building safety programs.
Requirements:

This position requires a current First Aid Medical Certificate and successful completion of the Protective Services Officers Course as part of the selection process and a pre-requisite for appointment.
