About the Role

This role is responsible for delivering high-quality facilities security services to government departments.

As a Facilities Security Specialist, you will build relationships with clients and stakeholders to deliver consistent service.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with clients and stakeholders to deliver consistent high-quality facilities security services.
  • Exercise powers pursuant to Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000 and follow procedures outlined in Protective Services Quality Procedures and site Building Manuals.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive facilities security procedures and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate training and provide guidance on emergency procedures and facilities safety programs.
  • Operate computerised systems to provide reports on electrical, mechanical, fire, lift, and security systems.
  • Lead and develop subordinate officers to create a fair, equitable, and customer-focused workplace.
Requirements
  • Mandatory: Current First Aid Medical Certificate

The successful completion of the Protective Services Officers Course is a component of the selection process and a pre-requisite for appointment to this position.
