About the Role:

Ventia is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join our team at Coke Plant 2. This role focuses on applying asset management strategies and executing maintenance activities safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:


• Conduct regular plant and equipment inspections to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.


• Enhance equipment reliability through technical expertise and effective maintenance planning.


• Plan and execute corrective and preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.


• Utilize digital systems to improve inspection accuracy and streamline maintenance processes.


• Monitor plant condition for maintenance planning and optimize resource allocation.


• Provide relief cover for Equipment Specialists and supervise maintenance activities to ensure quality and safety standards are met.


• Ensure availability of key spares and components to minimize delays and optimize maintenance activities.


• Assist in developing and reviewing maintenance plans and strategies to ensure alignment with business objectives.


• Mentor Core Team, apprentices, and operational staff to enhance knowledge and skills.


• Meet HRF requirements for the area and contribute to a safe and healthy work environment.


Requirements:


• Relevant trade qualifications (essential) and Engineering Associate Diploma (desirable).


• Strong technical aptitude in hydraulics, pneumatics, and drawings.


• Experience in equipment maintenance and strategy, with a focus on process service equipment.


• Understanding of maintenance management and ability to coordinate and direct work.


• Proficiency in Word Processing and Office applications, with good communication skills.
