The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at Veolia, a leading provider of environmental solutions. As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will play a key role in the maintenance and servicing of heavy industrial and commercial waste vehicles, plant, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair VES vehicles to meet operational needs and deadlines
  • Ensure all vehicles operate at maximum efficiency and comply with safety and environmental regulations
  • Complete scheduled daily work tasks as directed by the Supervisor/Manager in an efficient and timely manner
  • Collaborate with team members and assist in the development of apprentices
  • Complete accurate documentation and adhere to administrative procedures
  • Promote and drive Veolia's 'Always Safe' safety culture

Requirements

  • Heavy Vehicle/Heavy Machinery Mechanic trade qualification
  • Previous experience servicing heavy vehicles
  • Strong safety focus with a proactive approach to improving safety and risk management
  • Heavy Rigid Licence
