
Planning Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Panels Coordinator to join our team.
About the Role- Coordinate and manage the end-to-end operation of the Ku-ring-gai Local Planning Panel (KLPP) ensuring efficient and effective outcomes.
- Provide high-level administrative support to KLPP and Sydney North Planning Panel (SNPP) members and stakeholders by preparing agendas, taking minutes, and managing distribution of reports and documentation.
- Organise KLPP meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and manage distribution of reports and documentation to ensure seamless communication.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely communication on panel processes and decisions.
- Assist with logistics, including travel arrangements and expenses for panel members.
- Support the Director of Development & Regulation and Manager Development Assessment Services through correspondence, reporting, and meeting follow-ups.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental procedures and policies.
- Experience in office management or executive/committee support is essential.
- Knowledge and experience in development assessment, town planning or governance in a public sector setting is required.
- Excellent administrative and coordination skills, including agenda preparation and minute-taking, are necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines is crucial.
- High-level computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, InfoCouncil, Content Manager, TechnologyOne or similar systems, is required.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- A professional and discreet approach when handling sensitive or confidential matters is required.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Project Management or a related discipline are preferred but not essential.
