As an Operational Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for optimizing resource utilization and delivering efficient scheduling services.

  • Plan, schedule, and assign work to production and treatment plant operations staff to maximize resource efficiency.
  • Develop short- and medium-term work plans to ensure timely completion of tasks and backlog management.
  • Review and improve work plans to optimize resource utilization and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with treatment coordinators and managers on planning, scheduling, and reactive work activities.
  • Source job resources as required, including personnel, stock, and contractors.

Requirements:

  1. Experience in production/treatment scheduling or operations planning, preferably in industrial or utility environments.
  2. Strong planning, prioritization, and resource allocation skills across multiple work groups.
  3. Proactive problem-solving with a data-driven approach to scheduling and backlog management.
  4. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working with treatment coordinators and managers.
  5. Familiarity with quality and compliance considerations in production/treatment settings.
  6. Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a calm and constructive approach during high-impact events.
