About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our Construction team on the FMG Green Iron Project at Christmas Creek. As part of this project, you will be responsible for conducting fault finding for breakdowns, maintaining stock of materials and assembling metal parts and subassemblies.

  • This is a great opportunity for experienced professionals to work on a prestigious project with a 3:1 roster and transport to and from site provided.
  • You will be reporting to the Leading Hand/Supervisor and your key responsibilities will include conducting pre-start checks on plant and equipment, following quality control systems and techniques, and performing other general duties as required.

The ideal candidate will possess an Australian recognised Trade Certificate, current Working Safely at Heights Certificate, current High risk elevating work platform license and VOC, current Drivers Licence and nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card).
