Child Care Director Opportunity

This role presents a chance to play a significant part in shaping the lives of young children and contributing to a vibrant team.

As a Child Care Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the centre's operations, including managing a high-quality program of care and education for the children. This will involve supervising and developing educators and workers to maintain effective service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing and organising the centre to provide exceptional care and education.
  • Supervising and developing centre staff to ensure efficient operation.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • University degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education (3 or 4 years).
  • Completion of Child Protection Course - Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk of Harm.
  • Meet all requirements for Authorised/Nominated Supervisor as listed in the Education and Care Services National Law and Education and Care Services National Regulations 2018.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training, meeting ECS National Regulations 2018 standards.
  • Minimum experience of two years in child care as Authorised/Nominated Supervisor.
  • Working With Children Check Number.
  • Clearance of National Police Check.
Desirable:
  • Current class C driver's licence.
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations.
Remuneration and Benefits:

The salary is in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement.

Entry level for this position starts at $1,861.14 per week. You will work 35 hours a week and receive a Rostered Day Off every fortnight. Employee benefits include leave entitlements (where applicable), 12% employer contribution to nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
