Concrete Worker Job Description

This role involves working in various construction environments and requires the ability to work at heights, operate heavy machinery, and lift and move materials.

  • Read and understand drawings/specifications
  • Assemble and fasten materials to make framework or props
  • Measure and mark materials effectively
  • Maintaining small plant and equipment
  • Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines and power saw
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure structure is built to standards
  • Work to set levels
  • Construct forms and chutes for pouring concrete
  • Remove damaged or defective parts or sections and repair or replace
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Able to understand and follow oral or written instructions
  • Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Able to observe proper safety precautions
  • Basic first aid knowledge
