Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chiller Technician to join our team in Canberra. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our customers by carrying out operational, maintenance, and repair works on commercial Chillers and HVAC equipment.

Our ideal candidate will have a trade qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, as well as relevant experience in A/C maintenance and installations. You will also possess excellent time management and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned and unplanned service, maintenance, and commissioning of all types of Chiller Plants
  • Accurate and timely completion of required paperwork related to work performed
  • Participate in the after-hours standby duty roster
  • Foster and maintain professional working relationships amongst technicians and apprentices
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures at all times
  • Actively participate in company-facilitated training and service meetings
  • As required, facilitate on-site training for technicians/apprentices and supervise work performed by an allocated apprentice
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience/exposure to commercial HVAC Chillers
  • Trade qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
  • Current restricted Electrical License
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Current ARC Licence
  • Good time management and customer service skills
  • Technical competence
  • Ability and confidence to work alone and in a team environment
