About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Technology Platform to join our team at Tyro Payments Limited. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving innovation and strategic direction for our cloud and modern workplace platforms.

As the Head of Technology Platform, you will lead the development and implementation of our cloud infrastructure strategy, ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our technology platform. You will work closely with our engineering, product management, and customer support teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Setting the strategic direction for Cloud & IT teams, including database services, connectivity, corporate IT, and application platforms.
  • Managing financial and legal aspects of the role, including budget oversight and third-party contracts.
  • Leading, empowering, and motivating direct and indirect reports to achieve Tyro's strategic technology goals.
  • Driving cloud adoption through simplification, unification, and modernization of systems and processes.
  • Ensuring the reliability and durability of Tyro's technology platform by maintaining compute, storage, and network infrastructure in line with SLAs, RTOs, and RPOs.
  • Overseeing the security and reliability of Tyro's technology platform through timely updates and patching.
  • Collaborating with Heads of Technology peers to align Platform and Infrastructure with their teams' needs.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong track record of leading high-performing technology delivery teams. You will have expertise in cloud-native environments, particularly AWS, and a strong understanding of modern workplace technology best practices.
