Environmental Health Specialist

The role of an Environmental Health Specialist is to provide expert advice on environmental health issues and ensure that services are delivered in a way that meets the needs of the community.

This position requires strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to work effectively with people at all levels. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability are also essential for success in this role.

Key responsibilities include providing educational, advisory, monitoring, and enforcement services related to environmental health issues. This involves working closely with other departments and stakeholders to develop strategies that promote public health and safety.

  • Develop and implement effective programs to educate the public about environmental health risks and prevention methods.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to identify and address emerging environmental health issues.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to staff and stakeholders on environmental health matters.

To be successful in this role, you will need a strong understanding of environmental health legislation, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
