Are you a dedicated and experienced environmental professional ready to make a real impact? Join us to lead science-based policy development to support the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) and the Ministers for Environment and Water.
Your work will contribute to government priorities and drive continuous improvement in policy to support environmental impact assessment within Western Australia.
As a Principal Environmental Officer you will provide high-level scientific advice and lead the development, coordination, and implementation of environmental policies, strategies, systems, and procedures under the Environmental Protection Act 1986.
In addition to offering technical expertise, the role provides leadership, training, and mentoring to environmental officers, and contributes to the resolution of complex or urgent environmental issues.
Do you possess:

Demonstrated experience leading, facilitating and advising on environmental and natural resource management policies, strategies and initiatives that support departmental and government objectives.
Substantial experience in project management; including the ability to lead, manage, take the initiative, resolve problems, and deliver agreed outcomes within specified timeframes.
Well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills enabling you to manage conflict, liaise and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to broker appropriate and sustainable outcomes through collaboration and engagement.
