Track Inspector

Metro is seeking a skilled Track Inspector to join our Infrastructure team in the North West. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, maintenance, and inspection of track sections, identifying defects, and implementing remediation actions.
Main Responsibilities- Inspect track sections, prioritizing faults and reporting on defects requiring renewal or maintenance works.
- Attend to incidents and faults, providing support to Skilled Operatives to rectify issues promptly.
- Investigate and prepare technical reports on works performed.
- Certify track works completed by other parties as required.
- Lead daily pre and post-work meetings, promoting Metro's values and ensuring team adherence.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with MTM policies, procedures, and OH&S standards.
- Cert II in Rail Infrastructure (Track Work) and Cert III in Rail Infrastructure (Track Work) are mandatory.
- Competency skill set for Track Inspection is also mandatory.
- Possess a current Victorian driver's license.
- Qualified Safeworking Track Force Protection Co-ordinator 3.1.
- First Aid Certified Level 2.
- Experience as a Track Way Maintainer with track maintenance or renewal experience.
- Availability to work reasonable overtime, including emergency overtime.
