$120,000 - $150,000 per annum + superannuation

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join our team on the Suburban Rail Loop East project. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of commercial and procurement requirements, providing guidance and advice to project staff, and working in partnership with the central procurement team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Management: Ensure project managers, commercial leads, and relevant project staff understand and comply with commercial and procurement requirements in our head contract and subcontracts.
  • Procurement Planning: Ensure site-based teams have a clear procurement plan, schedule, and are executing this in partnership with the central procurement team.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating risks associated with procurement and commercial activities.
  • Budget Management: Oversee expenditure, conduct regular reviews against plan and budget, and take corrective actions as required.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in law, commerce, accounting, quantity surveying, business, or other related disciplines.
  • Relevant experience in a commercial management role on a major civil project.
  • Advanced skills in procedures for project contract administration, general business administration, and project management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
