Job Title: Chief Engineer - Data Centre Operations
Job Description:The position of Chief Engineer is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of data centre facilities, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Key responsibilities include managing electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment, performing planned preventative maintenance, and directing a team of engineers in troubleshooting and repair work.
The Chief Engineer will also be involved in project management, from conception to completion, including large-scale technical programs that monitor and maintain facility equipment and staff.
Additionally, this role involves training and supporting junior engineers, implementing site-specific training exercises, and reviewing routine maintenance and emergency services.
Other responsibilities include assisting with design, implementation, commissioning, and build-out of new facilities, as well as driving projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability, and reliability.
Requirements:- Extensive experience in data centre engineering and management.
- Proven track record of leading teams and managing complex projects.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work at heights, lift heavy objects, and wear personal protective equipment.
