Lawyer in Commercial Funds Management


About the Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified lawyer to join our Banking & Financial Services section and specialize in commercial funds management.


Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with the establishment, operation, and restructures of funds across various asset classes;
  • Providing expert advice on Australian financial services licensing, including compliance obligations and disclosure documents;
  • Preparing and reviewing complex legal agreements, including product disclosure statements and information memoranda;
  • Conducting thorough due diligence processes for transactions and disclosure documents; and
  • Reviewing fund-related commercial arrangements and advising on service provider relationships.

Requirements:
  • Between 5 - 8 years of post-admission experience in corporate and commercial law, with a focus on private practice;
  • A genuine interest in practicing in the financial services sector, specifically commercial funds management;
  • An enthusiasm for using innovative approaches to develop the practice;
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and drafting skills with attention to detail;
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills;
  • A strong commitment to client service and relationship management;
  • A focus on delivering commercial solutions for clients;
  • The ability to mentor and supervise junior team members; and
  • Initiative and effective prioritization.
