This is a key role within the organisation, responsible for governance and access to information.


The Governance and Access to Information Officer will provide professional advice and guidance to staff on governance matters. This includes providing support and assistance in relation to document access applications.


Main responsibilities include:


  • Providing high-quality customer service
  • Making determinations and recommendations related to document access applications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of local government legislation and the structure, processes, and functions of local government.


A Certificate III qualification in Business Administration, Recordkeeping, or a related field is highly desirable, as is demonstrated experience in a similar role combined with ongoing professional development.


The successful applicant will also have the ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation in a public sector environment, including the GIPA Act and PPIP Act.
