About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Executive Pastry Chef Specialist to join our team at The Westin Melbourne.

This is a unique opportunity to showcase your skills and expertise in pastry arts, leading our talented team to deliver exquisite pastries and unforgettable culinary experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create innovative pastry menus that reflect current trends and the Westin Melbourne brand
  • Oversee production ensuring quality and consistency
  • Inspire, lead and train a small team of pastry chefs
  • Manage food costs, minimizing waste
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the delivery of an excellent guest experience
  • Comply with food and health safety requirements
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A passion for designing and implementing creative food concepts
  • Relevant experience in a similar role with a minimum of 4 years in a 5-star kitchen
  • Experience in multiple operations like high tea, events, ala carte desserts etc.
  • Working rights in Australia (we cannot offer sponsorship for this position)
  • Self-motivated, driven and energized in a fast-paced environment
  • Armed with smart solutions and a can-do attitude

Salary and Location:

The estimated annual salary for this role is around $78,000 AUD, depending on experience. You will work in The Westin Melbourne, a 5-star hotel located in the heart of Melbourne's CBD.
